My best family vacation was to Martha’s Vineyard. I was probably twelve, and we rode bicycles all over the island. Seeing the Victorian homes was like stepping into the past. The island seemed so removed from the rest of the world in a way that felt comforting.
My family took a vacation to Spain. We did the whole Cathedral tour and stuff. I was really young, and I remeber my aunt turning pale in one of the Cathedrals, I think in Madrid. She fainted and when she woke, she said that she’d seen a saint. Can’t remember which one, and my mom shuttled me and my sister off before we could ask about it. No one spoke of it the rest of the trip.
Vacation to Spain it is!
