“Fly Fishing in Neoprene Legs” is now up at Foliate Oak Literary Journal.
I grew up on the Ohio River, spent many afternoons spinner fishing and floating silently in my grandfather’s boat. Yes, I was a tomboy. It was when I later learned to fly fish with a friend in the PA Yellow Breeches that I found an appreciation for fishing as an art form.
The characters in this short, short story may not share the same appreciation for fly fishing and an early morning trout stream, though it can probably be said that they’ll never be the same afterwards.
