Pirates and Mother Ships at BBC

Who says that pirates and Science Fiction aren’t real? This morning, BBC ran an article titled “‘Pirate’ Dies as Ship’s Guards Repel Attack off Somalia.” The article chronicles the EU naval force’s, Navfor’s, response to a distress call from a merchant ship.

“Navarra found one pirate mother ship… The mother ship was destroyed after the suspects were taken into custody” (BBC).  Beam me up, Scotty.

Apparently, one pirate was shot and killed in the skirmish between the water bandits and a private guard company. Six more pirates have been detained for questioning.

Yo, ho, ho and a bottle of rum.
